Fresh from boiler repairs which took nearly a year to complete and a repaint, L.N.E.R. A4 Pacific No 60007 "Sir Nigel Gresley" sits in light steam at Grosmont M.P.D. the night before her running in trials.

I love how the lighting almost makes it look like she has a single chimney and not a double kylchap blastpipe. It gives a nostalgic glimpse back to the late 40's / early 50's :)

It depends if the company I work for is contracted to work on it. The tender was re-tyred about 18 months ago and I did some work on the wheels then...

I like how dark this shot is, that combined with the whispy smoke from its funnel give the pic an eerie feel to it.
